Nightmare

It was so fast, I hardly saw it
One single shot, it didn't hit
It didn't hit the thing it should
Looking stunned was all we could

There was no blood nor tears
But though I faced my worst fears
I saw him lying on the ground
Knowing no sign of life to be found

Oh sweet boy, no lover, brother nor child
No sin no fault has your heart defiled
You died so sudden before my eyes
You left us without any goodbyes

But none of them did show a sign
They saw you there, they saw you lying
Your mother didn't even start to cry
I couldn't cope, I yelled out "why"

And garbage was you body now
They acted as they would be prow
Your skin so white and the dark hair
So dead beautiful I couldn't help but stare

And as it felt like I would break
An icy wind kissed me awake
I found me back in my old known prison
While outside started the nightmare again
